MANTRA

Mantra

We live in a world of mysteries, surrounded by invisible occult forces that mold and shapes us and the entire universe. As per the Indian astrological system, there is fate and we humans can make efforts in improving our destiny and counteract our fate with the help of various astrological remedies.

Mantra is an invocation, a mystical alliance between us and the universe, which aids us to relive ourselves and attain bliss and divine fulfillments. Mantra is the astrological art of 'revealed sound' that can be defined as a specific combination of letters or words which has hidden within them mystical divine powers to bring desired results and when used in a particular manner.

Each Mantra has a specific way of chanting – repeated, rhythmic and continuous that creates a stream of specific vibrations in the universe. These vibrations create a pattern of rhythmic resonance in our mind, bringing purity, divinity, and spirituality, driving us to the desired effects.

The belief and science of mantras are ancient and are regarded as a powerful tool to purify and transform our minds, leading to heightened concentration, illumination, and absorption. As revealed in astrological readings, Mantras are sort of prayers that evoke the grace of the planetary energies and lessen their negative effects on us.

The Importance of Mantra

As per the Hindu culture, not a single ritual or religious activity is accomplished without the incantation of the sacred Mantras. This is all because Mantras are considered to be how we can get connected with the almighty. In a way, Mantras are a way to seek the almighty's blessings for a prosperous and happy life. Mantras are believed to atone for committed sins, attain salvation, and henceforth.

During the Vedic age, Mantras were recited as offering prayer to the deities for the fulfillment of a particular task like marriage, childbirth, cure from illness, overcoming any obstacle, and alike. Mantras offered remedies to overcome uncertainties and dilemmas in the lives of the people.

The presiding deity of a Mantra

Each Mantra as per the Vedic Astrology has a presiding deity to whom it is allocated and chanting the respective Mantra helps us attain divinity and self-realization.  The deity of a particular mantra is the way of manifestation of a higher self that bestows us with the powers, fulfillment, and supreme enlightenment.

When we meditate on a particular deity, our hearts are enlightened with purity, divine love, and ultimate consciousness.

The power of mantras in attaining happiness and fulfillment in life

Each Mantra is associated with a presiding deity, and performing the mantra helps attain divine self-realization. The deity associated with a specific mantra is the manifestation of a higher self who bestows the seeker with fulfillments and supreme realization. When we chant a particular mantra and meditate on the deity, illuminates the heart with enlightenment, love, and super consciousness.

Mantras are sounds, the sounds of Power. Regularly chanting mantras with faith and devotion attracts constructive and positive energies of the related lord of the planet and helps in overcoming its negative effects.

On the emotional frame, mantras alert our subconscious mind, awaken consciousness and encourage us towards our life goals. Physically mantras soothe our nerves, activate our glands, and synchronize all our bodily systems. We become more confident and concentrated.

Chanting a Mantra

The success we get chanting a mantra depends upon its type and the purpose we are chanting it for. It is also relevant that how many times we recite the mantra. When we chant a mantra to appease a particular problem or counter the negative effects of a particular planet or a 'Graha’, it has to be chanted a specific number of times as suggested to us by our ‘guru’ or astrological guide, depending upon the planet and its lord. The purpose of repeating a mantra for a particular number of times is to create a vibration that in turn activated its relative powers.

In astrology, all mantras are Sanskrit phrases. Sanskrit is the language of the Vedas – The Indian body of language which represents religion and is believed to be the ancient way to attain enlightenment.

Mantras are the vibrations of sounds on our nervous system which cause subtle positive effects on us and neutralize the harmful energy indicated by an afflicted planet.
